Recapping Some of the Most Frequently Asked Questions this Week
Q: Do the flavor descriptors for each wine come solely from the grapes and the fermentation process, or are their additives to create the flavors?
A: Each of our wines has a unique tasting profile. Did you know that these descriptors come from the grape and the winemaking process? That's right, we don't add any flavors to wine. This is why wine is one of the most complex beverages. The only flavored products that we have are our via exclusive Peach, Pomegranate, and Citron Sparkling Wines.
Q: What is the best order for tasting wines during a wine tasting?
A: We do our best to list the tasting order for each collection in the VIA U Varietal Information sheet. If you include reserves in your tasting, consider placing the reserve wines so that white wines are with white wines, red wines with red wines. Add the Reserves after the Core Wines in their color group. For example you might taste in this order: CA Sparkling Brut, CA Chardonnay, Carneros Chardonnay, CA Pinot Noir, Edna Valley Pinot Noir, CA Cabernet Sauvignon.
Q: What should I do if I receive 'Specified Billing Date Of Birth must be at least 21 years old.' error while entering a batch of Party orders?
A: This error occurs when a guests birthday hasn't been included. You can update your guest's date of birth by following these steps:
1. Go to Parties > Party Portal
2. Select your party
3. Under Step 2 you will see your invited guests
4. Click the blue Edit button next to your guest's name
5. Enter your guest's birthdate in the birthdate field
6. Click "Save Changes" and then "Process" to complete the order.
